Director, Swiss National Cyber Security Center (BACS)

Florian Schütz has been Director of the Federal Office for Cybersecurity (BACS) since 1 January 2024. Previously, he was Federal Delegate for Cybersecurity and Head of the National Cybersecurity Centre (NCSC). He is responsible for implementing the National Cyber Strategy and is the central point of contact for politicians, the media and the general public. Schütz holds master's degrees in computer science and security policy and crisis management (ETH Zurich) . Since 2022, he has also headed the OECD Working Group on Digital Security.

Leading antitrust economist with more than 20 years’ experience as Head of European Competition at major economic consultancies, where she led large teams and acted as expert witness in landmark cases worldwide. She later co-founded the Competition Research Policy Network at CEPR, shaping policy debate on antitrust and digital markets. A prominent voice in European competition policy, she advocates linking antitrust, data protection and inclusive growth. She co-founded EuroStack, leads its Industry Initiative, curates a major Brussels conference, and is an Honorary Professor at UCL.

Frank Karlitschek

Frank Karlitschek

Founder and CEO Nextcloud

Frank Karlitschek is the founder and managing director of Nextcloud GmbH. He studied computer science in Tübingen and lives in Berlin. He has been developing open source software for over 25 years and was active on the board of the KDE project, among other things. He founded several IT start-ups in Germany and the USA, as well as the User Data Manifesto on cloud data protection in 2015. In 2016, he launched Nextcloud as a European open-source alternative to US and Chinese clouds. Karlitschek is an international keynote speaker, fellow of Open Forum Europe, W3C expert and advisor to the UN.

René Oester

René Oester

CEO Axpo Systems AG

René Oester is a graduate engineer and CEO of Axpo Systems AG. He has extensive management experience in the ICT and energy sectors, with a focus on IT security, network management and strategic corporate management. Under his leadership, Axpo Systems opened Switzerland's first OT Security Operation Centre in 2024. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Energie Belp AG since 2025, where he contributes his expertise in technology and management.
