Seventy-two countries have signed the UN Convention against Cybercrime, the first comprehensive global framework to combat cybercrime and strengthen cooperation on sharing electronic evidence on serious crimes. The “Hanoi” Convention neither consolidates nor fragments global cybercrime law but reconfigures it, shifting authority from regional instruments to a universal forum.
