Nicolas Mayencourt is the founder and Global CEO of Dreamlab Technologies, a Swiss IT security company that has been hacking the computer systems of companies, states and authorities for over 25 years - legally and at their request - in order to subsequently develop suitable security concepts and solutions. As programme director of the Swiss Cyber Security Days, Mayencourt is also responsible for putting together the two-day programme.

Nik Gugger, born in India, is a committed Swiss politician of the EPP and a member of the National Council. He is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Parliamentary Delegation to the Council of Europe. He is also President of the Swiss-Indian Parliamentary Friendship Group and Co-President of the Swiss-Ukrainian Parliamentary Group. In addition to his political activities, he is an entrepreneur and social worker who is committed to education and intercultural understanding. As Global Ambassador of the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in India, he also contributes to the promotion of education.

He took over as head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) on 1 January 2016. Since January 2019 he has been head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research. He was president of the Swiss Confederation in 2021. The EAER deals with economic affairs and trade policy, including agricultural policy. It is also responsible for education, research and innovation. Further areas such as housing are also part of its remit.
