Great things are being built on the BERNEXPO site!

At the beginning of January 2023, the first construction work for the new building of the old festival hall on the BERNEXPO site began and will also be in full swing during the SCSD in February 2025. We are pleased to inform you about the travel options to the exhibition site, so that you can find your way to the SCSD as stress-free and uncomplicated as possible.

Closure of the Kornhaus bridge

From 17 February to 16 November 2025, the Kornhausbrücke will also be completely closed to public transport and motorised private transport. Replacement buses (line 9A) will be available from Bern railway station (change at Viktoriaplatz) to reach the BERNEXPO site. Please note the current timetables at sbb.ch.

Travelling by public transport

From Bern main station

Tram no. 9A to "Viktoriaplatz" or bus no. 20 to "Wankdorf Bahnhof" terminus, then take tram no. 9 to "Wankdorf Center" station.

With the Bern S-Bahn

To "Bern Wankdorf" station (S1, S2, S3, S4, S44), then take tram no. 9 to "Wankdorf Center" station or about 10 minutes on foot.

From direction Ittigen/Muri

Bus no. 40 to "Wankdorf Center" station.

Arrival by car

Due to the limited number of parking spaces, we recommend arriving by public transport. The construction site on the BERNEXPO site also takes up a large part of the previously available parking spaces.

However, if you are travelling by car

The BERNEXPO site is located a few hundred metres from the Wankdorf motorway junction. From the motorway exit, follow the signs to "BERNEXPO"/"expo". There are only limited parking spaces available.
