The dangers posed by quantum computers have reached the planning horizon and cast a clear shadow over the risk landscape. In contrast to the Y2K problem, however, it is unclear when, where and how these problems will manifest themselves. It is therefore all the more important that decision-makers from IT and the business units prepare for them in good time. It shows what measures can be taken to prepare organisations for these unforeseeable challenges and to always be one step ahead.

Pascal Reiniger has been CISO of the Canton of BL since 2022 and previously 4 years of the Canton of Basel-Stadt. In total, he has over 25 years of experience as a CISO, IT auditor, project manager and consultant at the interface between business, IT and cyber security in consulting, pharma, retail and government. Pascal Reiniger holds a Masters in Business & Economics from the University of Basel and certifications including CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO 9001 Auditor, ITIL V2, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and SSI-MD.
