Switzerland is at the forefront of quantum computing and has a big say globally. Industries such as life sciences, industrial production, logistics and the financial sector have high hopes for quantum computing. The first applications with algorithms based on quantum technology already exist today, but the development potential is huge.

Founder & CEO at Girls in Quantum

19-years-old Elisa Torres from Chile is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Girls in Quantum, an international initiative that aims to inspire students, especially females from all over the world to enter the field of quantum computing. Elisa Torres was also selected as a finalist for the Global Student Prize 2023 and she is part of the advisory board of the Swiss Cyber Security Days.

Damir Bogdan heads the QuantumBasel competence centre for quantum and artificial intelligence. He specialises in digital transformation and leads C-Levels into the new future. He also works at Plug and Play, Silicon Valley's largest innovation platform, and is a board member in the healthcare, high-tech and industrial sectors. He is a Senior Advisor at the IWI of the University of St. Gallen and holds certificates in "Disruptive Strategies" from Harvard and "AI Implications on Business Models" from MIT, among others.
