Over the last decade, cybercrime has grown into a gigantic business - a trillion-franc industry with an ecosystem of organizations that are run like legitimate businesses and offer their malicious services “as-a-service” including consulting. What's more, the as-a-service approach to cybercrime has meant that even people without technical knowledge can have and use effective attack tools.
How are the Swiss police forces responding to these new challenges?

Head of Cybercrime Cantonal Police Zurich & Head of NEDIK

Serdar Günal Rütsche is the head of the Cybercrime Department of the Zurich Cantonal Police and leads the National Network for Digital Investigation Support in Cybercrime (NEDIK). With his many years of experience as a computer scientist and police officer, he is responsible for cybercrime investigations. Rütsche has worked intensively on data analysis, surveillance measures and various forms of cybercrime, including ransomware, phishing and online fraud. He lectures at various universities on the subject of cyber security.
