The coming years in cybersecurity will bring key challenges. Technology is changing society and introducing new vulnerabilities. AI and machine learning enhance disinformation, jeopardizing democracies. Quantum computing threatens current encryption, requiring new cryptographic solutions. Weak IoT security protocols and supply chain interdependencies create numerous vulnerabilities. Tfbihere's a global shortage of cybersecurity professionals, necessitating a comprehensive, society-wide framework to address these challenges. We need a new cybersecurity approach.

Lino Santos
Lino Santos is the Head of the National Cybersecurity Center of Portugal. He holds a Master's degree in Law and Security from the Faculty of Law of Nova University and a degree in Systems and Computer Engineering from the University of Minho. Previously, he was Director of Security and User Services at the National Foundation for Scientific Computing and the Foundation for Science and Technology. He also led CERT.PT and operations at the National Center for Cybersecurity. Santos is a member of the Management Board of the European Cybersecurity Agency ENISA.
