This talk is about "Testing AI Safety". We look at the initial challenges that hindered in-vivo research and how research has evolved in recent years, also driven by industry demands. The talk will cover methods to avoid past failures and focus on new challenges, and provide an overview of current AI safety testing methods and their practical applications.

Prof. Maura Pintor

Assistant Professor in the PRA Laboratory of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Cagliari, Italy

Pintor received her PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Cagliari in 2022. Her research focuses on the optimisation and debugging of adversarial attacks. She has been a visiting student at the University of Tübingen, the SCCH in Austria and the CVC of the UAB and is a reviewer for numerous conferences and journals. She is also co-chair of the ACM Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Security.
