Advancing digitalisation is fundamentally changing the state, the economy and society, while at the same time increasing the importance of cyber security. Florian Schütz shows how cyber security, in conjunction with geopolitical conditions, has developed from a primarily technical issue into a strategic task. In his keynote speech ‘State of the Nation’, he assesses the current cybersecurity situation in Switzerland and compares it with the international environment. He highlights the growing challenges for states and companies, the increasing importance of securing critical infrastructure, and the impact of new technologies on the global security situation.
